Chelation & Detox TherapyPesticides, metals and chemicals are just a few of the harmful pollutants that enter our body on a daily basis. Water in plastic bottles, fruits and vegetables with chemicals sprayed on them and meat from animals injected with hormones have become a part of our normal diet. While it may be impossible to avoid these elements completely, it is now possible to reverse their effects and detoxify the body. Detox Therapy works through IV or supplemental methods, collecting the pollutants in the body, allowing it to function at maximum capacity. Many of these chemicals have been accumulated over several years and cause build-up in the liver and colon. After testing the body, Dr. Subnani is able to discover imbalances within the body and restore it to its normal functioning levels. There also are heavy metals in the body that only Chelation Therapy can resolve. These metals often break down the calcium within the bones causing early onset osteoporosis, weak bones and bone breaks. By testing the metal levels of the body, Dr. Subnani can design a customized plan that uses IV Chelation Therapy to remove the metal in the body. Once metals are removed, Dr. Subnani works with each patient to develop the supplements and IV nutrition once depleted from the body, again restoring the ability to function properly. Chelation Therapy involves the addition of a chelating agent, such as EDTA or DMPS, to form an ionic bond with metallic agents such as calcium, lead, mercury, aluminum, iron and cadmium to mobilize and excrete these elements from the body. Age-related conditions, including heart disease and diabetes, respond well to EDTA Chelation Therapy, while IM DMPS works well for conditions associated with mercury toxicity. HOW DOES CHELATION THERAPY WORK?For most of these metals, an intravenous solution of vitamins, minerals, and the chelator EDTA is prepared. EDTA is a substance known for its ability to pull heavy metals out of the body. This is infused into the bloodstream through a vein. EDTA leaves the body in the same form by which it entered, but on its way out, it chelates metals and minerals from the body. Patients usually undergo between 10 and 20 chelation treatments over a period of weeks or months. Each treatment lasts several hours, during which patients can read or watch a movie. Beyond its effects on heavy metals, chelation with EDTA also helps to remove inappropriate accumulations of calcium from tissue. Calcium gravitates to atherosclerotic plaque in blood vessels, leading to arterial narrowing and blockage. Chelation gently and gradually mobilizes calcium from plaque, restoring elasticity and flow to blood vessels. Dr. Subnani has seen marked improvement in high blood pressure, angina, leg cramps and diabetic leg ulcers as well as improvement in mental alertness and memory due to improved blood flow to all areas of the body. |
